Talk about the Spirit in the sky! This is Just shocking

A mysterious image from Google Street View shows what some people think is Jesus and Mary sauntering through the clouds above a highway in Switzerland.

The pair appears to be floating over a highway to heaven, better known as the A5 highway near Walensee, Switzerland.

The figure thought by some to be Jesus is draped in a dark cloak, while his walking companion looks to be clad in a white and pink gown, with hands folded in a prayer position.

Shocking Bank Robberies of the 21st century !!!!

According to wikipedia Bank robbery is the crime of stealing  from a bank  while bank employees, and usually bystanders, are subjected to force, violence or the threat of violence. According to the federal Bureau of Investigations ‘s Uniform Crime Reporting Program, robbery is “the taking or attempting to take anything of value from the care, custody, or control of a person or persons by force or threat of force or violence and/or by putting the victim in fear.”By contrast, burglary is defined as, “unlawful entry of a structure to commit a felony or theft.” Bank robbery is therefore defined as entering a bank when it is open and obtaining money either by using force or the threat of force. Breaking into a bank when it is closed is burglary

Bank robbery has long been considered as one of the more romanticized crimes, and have formed stories for many books and films throughout history. It is often seen as more of a victimless crime, and as such is treated with greater respect than say house robbery or street mugging. Here, we take a look at the most daring, and awe-inspiring bank robberies of all time.

First up, we travel back to late 19th century Australia and the notorious Ned Kelly gang, whose dual robberies at Euroa and Jerilderie were not only highly successful insofar as they got away with large sums of money, but that they carried the heists out with an underlying sense of care and duty towards the “hostages”.

Both robberies were carried out with similar strategies in place, namely the gang’s use of a police officer’s disguise. This technique allowed the gang to mix with locals before the planned event.

The Euroa robbery was carried out on the 10th December 1878, when Ned and his gang made off with £2,260, a relatively large sum in those days. During the raid and the subsequent imprisonment of hostages, it is believed that the gang gave a performance of horsemanship before leaving without causing any injury to those involved.

2 months later at Jerilderie, on the 8th February 1879, the gang imprisoned police officers, stole their uniforms and then paraded themselves as re-inforcements from Sydney. The gang then proceeded to steal some £2,414. In addition to the money stolen, Ned and the outlaws burned the mortgage deeds of the townspeople which were held in the bank. Such acts as this have made Ned Kelly a folk hero in Australia to many.

More recently, the Great Train Robbery was carried out near Buckinghamshire in England in 1963. The gang of 15 members included Ronnie Biggs, Bruce Reynolds, Charlie Wilson and Jimmy Hussey, and was successful in obtaining a sum of £2.3 million, the equivalent of £40 million today.

Though a few of the assailants were arrested, they escaped prison and eluded the police for quite some time. Amongst the escapees was Ronnie Biggs, whose voluntary return to the UK in 2001 earned him 9 years in prison. However, he was released early on compassionate grounds when his health detriorated significantly.

Bringing things right up to date, and travelling now to Iraq at the beginning of the US bombing of Baghdad in 2003, we have the theft of almost $1 billion from the Central Bank of Iraq. This is considered to be the largest bank heist in history. It was carried out by the fallen dictator himself, Saddam Hussein, in anticipation of the invading Western forces. The majority of the sums were located in Saddam’s palace by US troops some time later, with the remaining amount still unaccounted for.

The Iraq heist is obviously no ordinary bank job, with orders for the money to be extracted being issued from the country’s leader, and handed over without force to his son Qusay who had been sent to retrieve the funds.

Today, more intricate and daring plans are required to overcome heightened security systems and ATM Software . However, with bank robbery it seems to be a case of where there is a will, there is a way. Though it may not be as simple as dressing up as police officers and demandingh the money, the sentiment has remained strikingly similar throughout the years.

Thank you. Lets meet next time when I will talk about the top ten bank robbers of the 21st century

4 Facts about Actuarial Science

Good stuff here

The Greatrnk

It is easier to become a professor in Actuarial Science than become an actuary – Dr. F. Onyango.

One day as I did what I know best – which is to mind my own business – I was punished by being the proud person to overhear two grown, educated men talk like it was a crime to be intelligent. Sample this:

MAN A: District X produces the creme de la creme students in the country. It has produced over 6,000 actuarialists (sic).

MAN B: They are called Actuarial  Engineers or Scientists!

I had to interject to save myself from all this non sense.

ME: They are called actuaries and I highly doubt…

Just before I had spat out my two sense, I was cut short by…

MAN B: Sasa wewe kijana unafikiri sisi tulizaliwa jana?*

I immediately got an urge to die a natural death or if not…

How can you really determine your Twitter influence ?

Counting followers on Twitter is not important. You can have 10,000 followers who do  not interact with you at all whereas a person can have 100 followers who interact with them  and even click links that could lead into a sell. Counting followers on Twitter is like counting pennies – sure, they’ll add up, but how much are they really worth? Follower count doesn’t mean much unless it’s attached to other stats about how influential you are on Twitter, like how often you’re retweeted or replied to. Any Twitter veteran will tell you that follower count is just a number, what matters is the number of replies and retweets you get.

I am going to dive into five tools that can help you know your Twitter influence .Most of these influence measures take into consideration factors that include follow count, but also go far beyond it. While follower count can give you a brief at-a-glance view of how popular you are on Twitter, it does nothing to tell you how influential you are with those followers. The reality is that your 50 followers may be more valuable than somebody’s 50,000 followers.I am going to use my accounts in giving a brief description on each of them . IF  Here they are

1) Klout

Klout now shows your past interactions from your social networks that contribute to your score. As with most things in life Klout is not 100% accurate. However, it is accurate enough to indicate whether you are interactive, influential, and engaging in your networks. If you are active and engaging, and consistently put out strong content that others are receptive to, it will be reflected by your high Klout score. You can connect Klout to other networks eg Facebook, LinkedIn and many others. If you only use one influence measure, use Klout. Klout is the gold standard of Twitter influence measurement, and it is a great benchmark for anchoring the other influence measures in this list. If you dont have an account there you can sign up. You can even compare your friends scores against your. Check it out !!

IF

2) PeerIndex

PeerIndex evaluates how much influence a person has developed across online social platforms, looking at three broad criteria: authority, audience and activity.Like Klout, it gives you a PeerIndex score out of 100 that is “a single measure of status” on Twitter. A number above 40 means you’re in the top 10% of Twitter users, and a number above 90 means you’re in the coveted 0.1% of Twitter influencers. Check it out by opening an account to know how you are fairing on

3 ) Retweet Rank

How it looks

IF

How they summarize your statistics IF

I can say that Retweet rank is very simple to use but it is a good one and can give a good overview .The amount of times a Twitter account has been retweeted is calculated, and a number displayed based on the rank of that account. So, if you get a retweet rank of 50,000 for instance, that means you are the 50,000th most-retweeted person on Twitter. Check it out !!! IF

4 ) Twitalyzer.

I do not have an account with them because I was not able to sign up for one. They want me to pay for premium yet Klout is better than them and it is  free !! Lol…. But this is how it works . Just enter your Twitter username and Twitalizer will give you an influence number out of 10. If you’re curious about why you only got a 2.1 but you’ve got 15,000 followers, Twitalizer uses the following to measure your Twitter influence: number of followers; number of unique mentions; frequency of unique retweets; frequency that the user retweets; and frequency of tweets. Check it out !!!

5) Twitter Grader.

Sadly, It was hacked and no longer available. Once It is available I will keep in touch .

Taste of Kisses

Moments with Millie

attentivenessI asked: “How do you feel when you kiss me?”

You answered:  “With soft hands caressing me, back rubs, delicious egg and chorizo sandwiches, perfect movie nights, clean laundry, sweet words….”

I interrupt:  “What does that mean?  How is that romantic?”

You looked at me sweetly with an innocent look and answered: “Your kisses feel like you and everything you do for me that no one has ever done.  Your kisses feel like the way you love me.”
I return with a smart-ass remark:  “I just wanted to hear you feel ‘HOT and sexy’ but I will take that answer even better.”

At that moment you reached down to kiss me and I could taste all of you:  the sweet texts for no reason, surprises with your visits, smiles that bring me joy, hands that make me melt, awesome hiking moments, every laughter you create in me….”
